      Would be a little difficult to implement that function with a screen this small. As it is, it certainly goes beyond the level of advanced functionality I was expecting from a “retro” product.

    Wouldn’t a 60mp a1 camera even out the 1:2 vs 2:1 difference? At 60mp, I could do way better than 2:1 on a tight crop w/o losing quality. I also prefer weather proofing over not having it.

I like the look of the brightin star but I wouldn’t mind having a bit more focal length. I like ttartisan but I’d like to have an aperture that opens up to 1.4. The check on this tool depends on shift on some LED light they use there also. Also if you will be checking product of company x with another product of company x It's reasonable to thing results would be better xD Also are most of those tools meant to colour calibrate or to fix your exposure? xDDD Not to mention with situation when you're not in FULL control of your lighting, you just won't get 100% accurate colours it will be impossible because colour casts. All those tools should be good to use, certainly better than nothing. If you need 100% colour accuracy, first control lighting entirely, second get good lighting, or at least lighting with the same color shift for entire set of lights, third do a full color calibration not based on just grey value. If you're doing work that needs this level of color accuracy might as well just do it right :D Otherwise, you'll be fine with that rough approximation most of those tools give you anyway

    • @WesPerry

    • @rav008
      @rav008 4 дні тому

      @@WesPerry Hummm, Bear in mind. The effective range- and therefore the guide number- of any flash will be affected by the use of diffusers, soft boxes, round or squarish heads or any other type of flash modifier, as well as whether the flash head is zoomed out or not. Also, remember that guide numbers are usually calculated based on a full-frame (35mm equivalent) sensor. Values will skew somewhat on a crop sensor camera.

In fact, you could swap in a cooler box stored battery at half hour intervals and reduce the temperature of your flash instead of increasing it. Not sure it's worth the 60-80% markup over the OG V1 here in Japan.

    Great review. Got mine a few days ago. I'm not a network specialist but the instructions and setup are brain dead simple. Works like a charm with 4x16GB WD Red NAS drives, Apple ULTRA part of the network. Unfortunately now 10GB switch at the moment

      They’ve supposedly added jumbo frame support in the latest OS update, but it takes some tinkering to actually make it happen, as it’s not in the menu. So I’m still not quite prepared to call this a true 10G connection just yet. A little frustrating.

      I believe all this flash supports is a low battery warning. Sorry if I didn’t mention that in the video. Very odd, for sure.

    Godox can't get the simple things right. Why don't we just crowd design the perfect trigger and then send them the idea and get it made already! I REQUIRE single pin isolation for real estate photography.

    Legit honest youtube review. Feels like too many people kiss up to the brand to continue to get free stuff.

    I would like to just point out that the mount for the COLBOR w100 is the same mount as Nanlite’s smaller forza lines (60, 60B, 150, 150b ect). So if you have accessories for that mount system (as well as the footage 60w light) they will work…..in theory. I say in theory because the grip on the side of the COLBOR makes it difficult to use certain accessories (the Nanlite Fresnel, bowers mount adapter) but I’ve put the Nanlite projector mount, the Nanlite reflector dish and Nanlite softbox on it and it is safely secured.

    I own the Flashpoint AD600 Pro and have encountered several durability issues. After the first year, the tab for releasing the Bowens mount protector and reflector broke. My Flashpoint R2 XPro II trigger also failed when the plastic between the hot shoe connection and the top separated. I switched to the R2 Pro Mark II, which has been working fine, but I’m considering a new controller while keeping the current one as a backup. Despite careful storage and handling, the plastic quality of Flashpoint (Godox) products leads to frequent breakages. After three years, my AD600 Pro battery also failed. Given these issues, I suggest potential buyers be aware of the durability concerns. It might be worth considering a more reliable and robust lighting system. Also, the battery on my Godox LC500 went out a few months ago which can happen, but… the thread on the battery side to mount like on a C-Stand or Tripod began bending over time, luckily there’s another one on the other end. 😅 fml.
